Kamloops is an epicentre of free-ride mountain biking in Canada. The Shuswap area has over 400km of trails for every level of cyclist. Vernon has steep, technical descents as well as easy, family-friendly rides. Kelowna has mixed cycling on fast single tracks to wide open rail trails. Penticton’s trails run between two lakes of beauty. BC has two top lift-access bike parks: Silver Star (near Vernon) and Sun Peaks (just north of Kamloops) which hosts international events and has an alpine trail with spectacular views.
