Signal Hill National Historic Site of Canada

Signal Hill overlooks the harbour and the city of St John's Newfoundland & Labrador. The fortifications have been placed on the hill since the 17th century and were used for the harbour defences (flag mast signalling) from the 18th century to the Second World War. for the military.
