World's largest lobster, Shediac, NB

Shediac calls itself the "Lobster Capital of the World". It certainly appears to have the largest lobster sculpture in the world, thanks to sculptor Winston Bronnum and the Shediac Rotary Club! It's 10.7 metres (35 feet) long and 4.9 metres (16 feet) high. The lobster itself weighs 50 tonnes and the pedestal weighs 32 tonnes. It was unveiled June 30, 1990 and attracts about half a million visitors every year.
